[Bangkok] I am not THAT much of a Louis Vuitton person, but since there is a Café Louis Vuitton in Bangkok… why not?
For the experience and the gram, I guess?
Le Café Louis Vuitton is set within the opulent Gaysorn Amarin shopping complex. Not difficult to get to, and the closest train station to Gaysorn Amarin is Chit Lom BTS Station.
This café is a part of the broader LV The Place, a concept space that includes retail and exhibition areas, reflecting Louis Vuitton’s commitment to blending fashion with lifestyle experiences.
I would recommend the “Louis Vuitton Visionary Journeys” which takes you on an immersive experience into the world of LV.
Admission is free for this, but online registration is a must.
The same applies to the café — you definitely need to reserve a spot or be prepared to wait in line, which can take quite a while due to the limited seating.
The ambiance, characterised by natural materials like wood and raffia, exudes a calm and refined atmosphere, mirroring the brand’s aesthetic.
What I liked was that the seating arrangement is spacious, offering a comfortable yet exclusive feel.
The experience is enhanced by the attentive and courteous service provided by the staff.
In case you are wondering, there are people who come dressed the part, for the photos of course.
But there are also tourists who are here in more casual attire (they can come in slippers but walk away with bags after bags).
The menu at Café Louis Vuitton is a curated selection of pastries, light bites, and beverages, many of which are inspired by both local Thai flavours and French patisserie traditions.
For options, there are the Monogram Pistachio Cake (THB 550) which features dacquoise biscuit with orange blossom marmalade and light pistachio cream, and the Star Blossom Chocolate and Caramel Cake (THB 550).
I wanted to try something that was ‘signature LV’ and went for the Flower Blossom Chocolate Cake (THB 550).
This was a rich, indulgent treat with the deep, velvety flavour of chocolate ganache, complemented by the delicate texture of the Sacher biscuit.
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much because the brand sells by itself easily.
The meal is expensive, but much better than what I have expected.
Those with a penchant for fruity desserts might enjoy the Strawberry Vanilla Cheesecake (THB 550), made with Tahiti vanilla cream, almond crumble, and fresh strawberries.
Or the Thai Mango Tart (THB 450), which highlights fresh mango and almond cream (THB 450).
I decided to go for the intricately-shaped Thai Tea Damier Cake (THB 550) with Thai tea ganache, hazelnut praline, and madeleine sponge.
There was that comforting aftertaste that evoked the soothing experience of sipping a traditional Thai tea, and it wasn’t too sweet.
Signature drinks like the Mango Sticky Rice Fizz (THB 280) provide a twist on traditional Thai desserts, turning them into refreshing beverages.
But I found my drinks generally far too sweet, and couldn’t finish them.
Some house rules: each person must order at least one drink from the menu, and one cake for the table.
Reservations are held for 10 minutes, and dining is limited to 90 minutes per table.
While the luxury setting is undoubtedly impressive, some may find the prices steep, even for a café associated with such a prestigious brand.
Le Café Louis Vuitton may not be the place for casual everyday dining, it serves as a spot for a special treat or a stylish rendezvous.
