[Bangkok] One of the newest malls in Bangkok to head over for restaurants and cafes is certainly EmSphere.
Located in the prominent area of Sukhumvit, it is a short, about 10-minute walk from Phrom Phong BTS station.
Don’t worry, as there is a sheltered walkway all the way.
This shopping and dining destination is housed within a strikingly modern architectural design.
As you wander through its vast expanse, the mall offers an array of international and local brands, making it a one-stop-shop for food.
I do find it leans more towards being a food mall than a center for fashion, technology, and lifestyle products.
From gourmet restaurants helmed by celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsay to local eateries offering traditional Thai dishes, the mall provides an eclectic mix of flavours to explore.
Thongsmith Hotpot GM FL
Love Thong Smith’s Boat Noodles? Now, you can get this refined hotpot experience that emphasizes the rich flavours of traditional Thai boat noodles.
The concept here is all about single-serving hotpots, allowing each diner to customise their meal with a variety of broths.
There are also premium ingredients like Holstein beef, Australian cuts, and Kurobuta pork.
Have a sip of their signature “Nam Tok” broth, which packs a punch with its depth and complexity.
Fatt Chicken 福鸡饭 G FL
Fatt Chicken 福鸡饭 in Bangkok is born out of Singaporean – Chef Enoch a noted personality in Bangkok’s culinary scene in recent years.
You can find Hainanese Poached Chicken Rice (THB 145), Hainanese Fried Chicken Rice (THB 145), Soy Sauce Chicken with Rice (THB 165), Bak Kut Teh (THB 280), and Kailan in Oyster Sauce (THB 175).
The Poached Chicken was considerably tender and flavourful. But given the choice, my vote would go for the crispy and savoury Fried Chicken due to its crunchy-meets-juicy contrast with tasty marination.

Fa Pla Tahn G FL
The fish-focused menu at Fa Pla Than is diverse, but the standout dishes include their Fish Rice Porridge and Fishball Noodles.
Recommended dishes include the Noodle with deep fried fish fillets and spicy sauce (THB 199), Boiled rice with fish fillets, prawns, and squids (THB 359), and Spicy Seafood ‘Tom Yum’ in Red Sauce (THB 189) for those who enjoy vibrant, tangy flavours.
I decided to go for the Fish Ball & Marinated Minced Pork Noodle (THB 179). Although the sauce appeared non-existent, it was quite fragrant and complemented the noodles well.
Pad Thai Fai Ta Lu G FL
A refined take on the classic Thai dish, helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Andy Yang.
The restaurant’s signature Pad Thai is known to be cooked over a roaring flame, infusing the noodles with a smoky flavour that sets it apart from more traditional versions.
While the portion sizes might be on the smaller side, the quality of ingredients, such as the naturally-raised Berkshire pork loin or fresh shrimp, justifies the slightly higher price.
Zaozen by zao G FL
Zaozen is introducing its distinct Isan Artisan Noodle Bar concept. You will find on the menu a variety of handcrafted noodle dishes ranging from traditional to creative twists.
They have Isan Noodles, Noodles Sontum, Isan Vermicelli Sontum, Thai Sontum, and Stir-Fried Noodles.
But what’s really special is that they serve the Thai rice noodles here fresh from a machine. They do it so well that they can make it in various textures and shapes.

Ah, a taste of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s renowned London eatery to Bangkok.
The restaurant offers a mix of classic European dishes with Ramsay’s signature flair, and combines an industrial-chic design with an open kitchen that gives diners a glimpse into the culinary action.
The menu features iconic dishes like the Beef Wellington, which is a must-try, available in limited servings each day. Seafood lovers might enjoy the seared scallops or the Lobster Moilee.
Bijoux De Beurre Echire G FL
For lovers of French pastries, particularly those who appreciate the rich, buttery goodness that comes from premium ingredients.

The bakery offers a range of exquisite viennoiseries and pastries, including buttery croissants.
Oh My Godmother G FL
OMGM is a new dining concept from the iberry group, offering a fusion of Western and Asian flavours.
Alongside savoury dishes, the restaurant is collaborating with Godmother, a Vietnamese chiffon cake brand, to provide soft and moist chiffon cakes with a variety of flavours.
With limited stomach space, I was enticed by the Chiffon Cakes – by the Godmother brand from Vietnam.
Flavours include Hokkaido Milk Block (THB 390), French Earl Grey (THB 490), Cheese Black (THB 490), and Strawberry Benji (THB 390).
Butter Bear G FL
Butterbear Cafe which is a part of the Coffee Bean by Dao group, offers a mix of sweet treats and snacks that are as playful as the cafe’s mascot.

The menu features an assortment of cookies, including the Assorted Tin Box Cookies (THB 698) and Sandwich Cookies (THB 550), alongside more interesting items like the Butterfly Chocolate Dip (THB 550) and Crunchy Coconut Butterbun (THB 120).
Pang Cha G FL
One of my favourite Thai Milk Tea cafes.
Go for their signature dessert which is the Thai Tea Shaved Ice. This is a substantial treat that combines fluffy shaved ice with richly brewed Thai tea, three types of tapioca pearls, and slices of bread.
The presentation is as much a part of the experience as the taste, with the large portion often being shared among diners.
Ba Hao Tian Mi GM FL
The café specialises in a curated selection of puddings that blend classic flavours with contemporary flair.
Recommended offerings include their Goji Berry Pudding, Boba Milk Tea Pudding, and Black Sesame Pudding, each crafted with a balance of taste and texture that has earned the café a loyal following.

For those looking for something special, the Beans Signature Coffee lineup includes Espresso Yuzu Soda (THB 135), Coconut Flower Espresso (THB 120), and Dirty (THB 120).
While the coffee is commendable, seating is limited, which might be a downside during busy hours.
IKEA Swedish Restaurant & Cafe 3rd FL
Take an escalator up to IKEA Swedish Restaurant & Café at the 3rd floor of EmSphere.
Of course, you would find classic IKEA dishes like their famous Swedish Meatballs, served with a modern twist, and a Salmon Fillet paired with a spicy mango salad that blends Thai and Swedish culinary traditions.
One of the standout items is their Northern-Style Noodles, a playful take on Thailand’s Khao Soi, substituting traditional noodles with fettuccine and topping it off with Swedish meatballs.
There is also the Lingonberry Yogurt Smoothie adds a refreshing tart finish to the meal.
