Here’s more:
Standing Sushi Bar
Odeon 331 #01-04
Opening Hours: 12pm – 2:30pm, 5:30pm – 9:30pm (Mon – Fri), 12pm – 9pm (Sat – Sun)
Standing Sushi Bar at the side of Odeon 331 offers a lively yet casual dining experience with a focus on fresh and affordable Japanese food.
The menu covers a wide range of Japanese dishes, from sashimi, sushi, tempura, grills to hearty donburi, with plenty of options at value-for-money prices.
I will recommend the Omakase which is a value-for-money and satisfying treat, especially for those who love sushi but don’t want to splurge excessively.
Their Starter Set, inexpensively priced at $48, includes nine pieces of sushi, a grilled item, and miso soup, making it an accessible entry point for those new to omakase.
I enjoyed pieces from tuna, salmon, yellowtail (hamachi), sea bream to flounder; each piece showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients sourced daily.
For those seeking a bit more indulgence, the $88 option adds premium items like Otoro (fatty tuna) and offers eleven pieces of sushi.
For those looking for non-raw items, the Aburi Set ($88) offers all seared sushi, delivering a distinct smoky flavour and rich texture.
Hvala
Odeon 333 #01-11
Opening Hours: 12pm – 9:30pm (Mon – Sun)
Hvala at Odeon 333 is a tranquil spot that invites diners to slow down, savour each bite, and indulge in the subtle elegance of Japanese tea culture.
The minimalist setting, with tatami-style seating options, amplifies the café’s quiet charm, making it a place to unwind.
As the flagship store, I did notice something different offered – Kaya Toasts with options of Matcha, Hojicha and Genmaicha.
Paired with soft-boiled eggs, it recreates the local breakfast experience with a twist.
The Matcha Kaya Toast ($10.90) features house-made matcha kaya slathered generously on thinly-sliced brioche. The deep-green kaya has smooth, creamy texture with distinct matcha flavour. And not too sweet at all.
You may also want to leave some space for the Shio Pan sandwich ($15.90 onwards) which offers a selection of savoury fillings encased in a soft, salted Japanese bun.
Choose from options like Wagyu Oyster Blade, Teriyaki Chicken, Salmon & Scallop, Smoked Duck, and a vegetarian Tofu & Mushroom, each served with an onsen egg and drizzled with a special sauce.
Han’s
Odeon 333 #B1-13
Opening Hours: 8am – 10pm (Mon – Sun)
Han’s at Odeon 333 offers a diverse menu that combines Western comfort food with Hainanese-inspired dishes, staying true to its heritage while adding modern touches.
Need some recommendations? They include the All-Day Breakfast Set, Caesar Salad, Spaghetti with Chicken, Quiche, Cappuccino, Hor Fun, Clubhouse Sandwich, Fish & Chips Set, and of course Hainanese Pork Chop.
The Hainanese Pork Chop ($15.80), one of their signature dishes, comes with a breaded and fried pork cutlet smothered in a tangy sauce, accompanied by rice.
Aside from a strong sense of nostalgia, I enjoyed the crispy exterior and juicy meat.
Another favourite is the Hor Fun ($10.50) which offers a hearty portion of flat, chewy rice noodles in a rich, dark gravy topped with tender pork slices, fish, and prawns. A comforting dish that leans towards the sweeter side – a trait that feels rooted in Hainanese culinary traditions.
Don’t forget to end the meal with their top-selling sweet treat like Pandan Kaya or Black Forest Cake.
5 Senses Cafe & Restaurant
Odeon 333 #B1-12
Opening Hours: 8:30am – 6pm (Mon – Fri), 8:30am – 3pm (Sat), Closed Sun & PH
New to the market, 5 Senses Cafe & Restaurant offers a blend of local favourites and Southeast Asian-inspired dishes. You will find a menu that evokes the warmth of home-cooked meals and nostalgia of old-school hawker fare.
The restaurant’s setting is simple and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for quick meals or a relaxed lunch break.
Specials include the Odeon Traditional Hainanese Beef Noodles ($12.80), Curry Chicken served with baguette or rice ($8.80), Braised Pork Belly Buns ($3.60), and the Traditional Hainanese Herbal Mutton Soup ($19.80, available only on Fri and Sat).
Other signature dishes are the Seafood Mee Goreng ($10.80), Hokkien Prawn Noodles ($8.80), and XO Crabmeat Seafood Fried Rice ($7.80). Weekly specials keep the menu dynamic and appealing.
The Odeon Traditional Hainanese Beef Noodles ($12.80) is their signature dish, a nod to the flavours the owners grew up with.
This recipe, reportedly learned directly from Hainan, offers tender, succulent beef served in a rich broth with deep, comforting flavours – a dish that feels like a journey back to its roots.
Among the office crowd, the Hokkien Prawn Noodles ($8.80) is a popular choice. The dish features plump prawns and egg noodles stir-fried in a savoury prawn stock and soy sauce blend. While it could use a bit more wok hei, it remains flavourful and satisfying.
Fun Toast
Odeon 333 #B1-11
Opening Hours: 7:30am – 7:30pm (Mon – Sat), Closed Sun & PH
Fun Toast found in the basement of Odeon 333 is a fuss-free spot for a classic Singaporean breakfast experience, offering traditional fare with a few contemporary twists.
The café keeps things simple, with its minimalist setting and straightforward menu, making it a convenient option for a quick bite or a relaxing coffee break.
Sets include the Min Jiang Kueh Soft Bun ($6.10), Yuan Yang Soft Bun with Kaya and Peanut Butter ($5.90), Kaya Butter Toast/Peanut Toast/Butter Sugar Toast ($5.90), and Honey Butter French Toast ($5.60).
The Min Jiang Kueh Soft Bun combines the soft, fluffy texture of a traditional bun with a filling inspired by Min Jiang Kueh, a popular local pancake filled with ground peanuts and sugar.
Another interesting dish is the Soy Sauce Chicken with Chee Cheong Fun, where tender soy-braised chicken is served alongside smooth rice noodle rolls, offering a mix of textures and a savoury, mildly sweet flavour profile.
